Modular Intelligence
Not a software company that interviewed installers. The installer.
Modular Intelligence was born inside Solar Citizen, a solar installation company founded by Mujtaba Raza in Karachi, Pakistan — a lawyer by training who spent seven years building a solar business across 11 cities, including the Supreme Court of Pakistan's system, with no outside capital.
Running solar in Pakistan means hard mode: the grid fails daily, customers negotiate at midnight in two languages over voice notes, and the world's software assumes you have a Salesforce budget. When nothing on the market could run this business, and agentic AI made it possible for a non-programmer to build, he built it himself: Shams, the sales agent, and Sol AI, the monitoring brain — shipped in months, tested against his own revenue, hardened by a small engineering team in Karachi.
Since February 2026 the platform has run Solar Citizen's sales and service end to end. Now Modular Intelligence brings it to US installers — starting in New York, with ten founding partners.
One habit defines us: before making claims, we audit our own database and publish only what survives — including our own bugs. Truth is our differentiation. Speed is our moat.
