Comparison
Sol AI vs Omnidian
These are different products that get shortlisted together. Omnidian sells a performance-assurance service: they take on the obligation, run their own support desk, and dispatch field service against a guarantee. Sol AI sells the monitoring layer and leaves the customer relationship, the pricing and the service revenue with you. Which is right depends on whether you want to own the service business or hand it off.
| Omnidian | Sol AI | |
|---|---|---|
| What you are buying | A service contract with a performance guarantee attached, delivered by their team | A monitoring platform you operate and resell under your own brand |
| Who talks to the homeowner | Omnidian's support desk, on their paper | You. The homeowner stays your customer and your renewal |
| Field service | Included — they coordinate and dispatch repairs under the guarantee | Not included. We identify and cost the fault; the truck roll is yours |
| Who keeps the service margin | Shared with the provider under their pricing | Yours. You set the care-plan price; monitoring costs $1.50/system/month |
| Inverter coverage | Broad residential coverage across major US brands | 9 brands live in production; Enphase and SolarEdge in integration with our founding cohort |
| Published pricing | Not published; quoted per portfolio | Published: $749/mo LAUNCH, $1,490/mo SCALE, $1.50/system/month beyond 500 |

Where Omnidian wins
They carry risk you would otherwise carry. A performance guarantee backed by their own field-service network is a genuinely different product from a dashboard — if a system underperforms, that becomes their problem to fix rather than a task in your queue. They have run residential performance assurance at scale for years, with the operational depth that implies. Their coverage of US residential hardware is broader than ours today. If you do not want to staff a service desk, do not want to own the repair obligation, and would rather hand the whole post-install relationship to a specialist, they are the better fit and we are not close.
Who should choose Omnidian
Choose Omnidian if you want the service obligation off your books, you would rather not staff support, and a performance guarantee backed by someone else's field network is worth more to you than the margin on a care plan.
Who should choose Sol AI
Choose Sol AI if you want to own the service business — your brand on the report, your price on the plan, your relationship with the homeowner — and you want a per-system cost low enough that the spread is worth keeping.
FAQ
Questions, answered
Is Sol AI a replacement for Omnidian?
Not directly. Omnidian sells a performance-assurance service including field-service coordination and a guarantee; Sol AI sells the monitoring layer and leaves the service business with the installer. An installer who wants to hand off the service obligation entirely is buying a different thing from one who wants to run care plans under their own brand.
Does Sol AI include a performance guarantee?
No. Sol AI identifies underperformance and attaches a dollar figure to it; it does not underwrite production or dispatch repairs. If a guarantee backed by a field-service network is what you need, a performance-assurance provider is the right category.
